The “ecological“ aspect of the trip results from the green entrepreneurship project, as a part of COAST UNDP project and cooperation with development agencies in four Dalmatian counties.
It’s an honour for us to present you with a new tourist offer in Primošten area – ecological trawling trip for tourists.
Our goal is to introduce you with a traditional fishing method (trawling) in form of active vacation thus giving you the opportunity to participate in fishing itself.
For that purpose, we have thoroughly reconstructed the boat R/B JADRAN TRI, previously a typical trawler, in order for the boat to be able to accommodate passengers.
The boat is 21.85 meters long, 6m wide and 2.8m draft. It can accommodate up to 37 passengers enabling each of them first hand fishing experience.
The crew consists of four professional fishermen who are at your disposal throughout the trip. Our boat JADRAN TRI has a certificate that proves the value of this project in terms of biodiversity and sustainable green development of Dalmatian coast. It contributes to the development of local community, with the support of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Global Environment Facility (GEF). As a result of this project we commit to use fishing solely for the purpose of demonstrating the process, not as commercial fishing. Furthermore, while pulling out the nets we would collect sea waste (plastic, glass...) and deliver it to utility services for recycling.
We’d like to put an emphasis on our rich gastronomic offer whereby freshly caught fish is prepared in different ways and in abundant amounts. Furthermore, the passengers who don't eat fish will be offered a meat meal. Along with the main course, the price of the trip includes a 0.5l drink per person and fresh salad. As we approach the berth we might come across Adriatic dolphins which are always ready for all sorts of acrobatics!
